Paint your walls?

I have always been, and still am, very critical about the state of affairs in the art sector in Malta. Not only we are probably the only European country with no contemporary art Museum but the lack of initiatives, both from the private and public spheres are disheartening. We still live in a country where art is considered a hobby, something to do on a Sunday. Ah well .....


I came across THIS very interesting initiative by the oficina de gestión de muros (wall management office) in Madrid. This is an independent Spanish project that brings together street artists, empty walls and empty walls owners.

Surely we can benefit from something similar. Have you ever noticed the lack of street art in our villages and cities?
