Just a great piece of news. Alex Vera Gera, author of the short story Li Tkisser Sewwi, was acquitted of publishing pornographic and obscene material on the student newspaper ir-Realta.
Expecting the resignation of the Rector, Juanito Camilleri, is expecting too much on this piece of rock. No one ever resigns here. But the least the rector could do is apologise. Apologise to Alex Vella Gera, to the ir-Realta editor and to the general public for wasting people's money just because he happens to be a holier-than-thou bigot with the artistic sensitivity of a cactus.
