Joseph P. Smith featured on Black and White Photography


Maltese photographer Joseph P. Smith’s book Survivors has been featured in the international photographic magazine Black and White Photography.


The author has just published the second reprint of the book and copies are available from Agenda outlets and from the author himself and is currently working on the second volume of Survivors, "as there are more stories in Birgu waiting to see the light".

Trevor and Faye Yerbury at Gallery Pi


This week Gallery Pi will be presenting a very interesting exhibition. A collection of nudes by Faye and Trevor Yebury. The exhibition will run from the 14th till 24th October 2011 at Gallery Pi, Archbishop Street, Valletta. Opening hours are Tuesday to Friday 10am – 2pm and Saturday 9:30am-12:30pm (Closed on Saturday 15th). Other opening times by appointment.

The 16 billion pixels of the Last Supper

Today I came across this site, Haltadefinizione, and found it quite amusing. According to il-Gurdun, (a friend of mine), they are doing to art what Google did to your neighbourhood with Google Earth. The definition is impressive, more detail than this and we could be counting atoms. They created an image of the Last Supper, the fresco by Leonardo da Vinci, in 16 billion pixels. I wonder what Mr. da Vinci would think.
