Art Courses Starting Soon

Next week will see the start of two new art courses that I shall be delivering at the new  FABER-CASTELL - the concept (malta) premises. For more information about the courses please click HERE




From Monochrome to Polychrome
An art course by Rupert Cefai
and Faber-Castell – the concept (Malta)
 




Course Description
The course will guide the student through the use of dry media, starting from graphite and charcoal and moving on to monochrome pencils and finally the use of pastel crayons and pencils. It will introduce the language of drawing and the use of specific FABER-CASTELL drawing materials. Emphasis is on drawing techniques, dry drawing media, and graphic principles

It is ideal for any person who would like to experiment with and learn to use dry drawing media. To ensure individual attention, the course will be organised in small groups.


Course Duration
12 weeks – one lesson of 2 hours per week


Dates
Course will be delivered on three different days
Group 1 – starting on Wednesday 20th January 2010 and every subsequent
                  Wednesday for the following 12 weeks - From 10:00 – 12:00
Group 2 – starting on Thursday 21st January 2010 and every subsequent Thursday            
                  for the following 12 weeks - From 19:00 – 21:00
Group 3 – staring on Saturday 23rd January 2010 and every subsequent Saturday
                  for the following 12 weeks - From 9:30 – 11:30

Materials
Students will be given a starter pack which will include the following FABER-CASTELL materials
Castell 9000 Pencils - 1 HB, 1 2B, 1 5B
1 Putty Rubber
2 sticks charcoal
2 Monochrome Pencils (Pitt Pastels)
6 Basic Coloured Pencils 
8 Basic Coloured Crayons
Drawing Paper

Using PITT ARTIST PENS
An art course by Rupert Cefai

Faber-Castell – the concept (Malta)


Course Description
The course will introduce the student to the use of FABER-CASTELL PITT ARTIST PENS. These pigmented India Ink pens that come in multiple nib sizes and a wide range of colours brings great versatility to pen-and-ink drawings that require lots of intricate details. Pitt Artist Pens are great for sketching, journaling, cartooning, and drawing. PITT Brush tip pens are ideal tools for graphic artists, designers, illustrators, architects and anyone who enjoys coloured drawings.

Course emphasis is on graphic principles and ink drawing techniques.

4 different sizes of Black FABER-CASTELL PITT PENS  S, F, M, B
6 Basic colours of FABER-CASTELL PITT PENS 
sample sheets of cartridge paper
sample sheets of tracing paper
